hi, hello!
It’s good to have your eyes and ears. Here’s what I’ve been listening to for the past month.
This month has been all over the place, maybe even a little chaotic. But good! Chaos can be good!
Speaking of chaos, I listened to one of Kanye’s albums, mainly because of this Instagram post, but also because of Jeen-Yuhs. I spent a weekend watching the Netflix documentary. Reply here if you want to chat about it…I have thoughts.
Also, this meme (from the sighswoon post) is everything.
Another form of (good) chaos that took up my March was SXSW. There were so many amazing musicians in town and I was lucky to catch a few. Here’s a list, in no particular order:
Kevin Morby
Sir Woman
Los Bitchos
Sunflower Bean
Faux Real
PACKS
Ohly
Greyhounds
Star Parks
W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend To Cause Havoc)
Japanese Breakfast
Back to the goodness - I started the month with an homage to my home state, Nebraska, as March 1 was Nebraska’s birthday. There were a lot of good birthdays this month (like mine, March 20.) If you follow Kelsey Scofield on Instagram (you should!) her birthday was also this month and she painted the image from last month’s newsletter for her birthday post. She’s been painting every day this month, and her work is stunning. As someone who is big on daily practices and habits, I’ve really enjoyed following.
Please share if you practice daily habits of creativity. I’d love to hear!
